Silence of Angers

Angers is a silence city
So I don't write a lot here
Walk around to enjoy its beautiful flowers in gardens

It is actually pink
But it has a chemical reaction with my camera and changed to purple
Trust me, I tried 3 times
If you don't, take a look at the Tourist Centre besides the Chateau

At Jardines des Plantes

From Cathedrale Saint-Maurice

At Jardine du Mail

La Maine

The trip to Angers ends with this evening photo
Chateau, Cathedrale Saint-Maurice and La Maine..........

Architectural wonders in Angers

Wondering around Angers, you can see lots of wonderful buildings.
Some can make you wonder why it is built this way.

Like this one, you may wonder to visit or not if you are not in extremely urgency:

Taking in food and drink is a natural thing.
So does passing out something.
Take it easy!

Palais de Justice

Fountain in the garden named Jardin du Mail

Maison d' Adam built in ~year 1500

The old versus the new

The plain versus the fancy

Cobbled streets (as described in tourist magazine) of this old town area take you back through time

Cathedrale Saint-Maurice

The bridge Pont de Verdun is decorated with eye-catching flowers

In Eglise Saint-Serge

Tour Saint-Aubin was built in the 12th Century

Saw this on the lunch coupon!? (refer to "Why going Angers")

Angers the historic city

Angers has a very loooooong history.
Sorry, I don't know how loooooong.

The most famous landmark of Angers is the Chateau d'Angers.

This fortress was built in 13th Century.

A map showing the city in old time. Chateau is on middle, most high above on the map looking below (in fact looking NE) on the whole city. River La Maine running through the city. Walls protect people from enemies. Such a strong and beautiful city.

In compare to today's map (by imagine, turn the map clockwise 135 degrees), we can see that the walls surrounding the city is replaced by main roads with busy traffic.
(visit google map and "take a walk" around with its special function)

Very elegant garden outside the Chateau.
NO ENTRY TO VISITOR! What a pity!!

A bridge leading to the entrance. Entrance fee is 6 Euros, not expensive.

Soon I realized why the entrance fee is not very expensive -- not much to see inside!!

Vineyard since the old times.
Life is not complete without wine??

This 'mill tower' is the highest point. Go up to the top by a narrow, slippery staircase.

Looking around on the mill tower is good good good.
La Maine is a silent river, at least it was in my few days there.
The bridge, Pont de Verdun looks nice with violet flowers along the walkways.

Strolling on the wall, enjoy sunshine and beautiful scene ..
.. let's sing "~what a wonderful world~~"

Cathedrale Saint-Maurice is another must go spot.
It is on the old town area outside the Chateau.

This journey is not yet finished, some more photos to share with you soon.

離別篇之二

(English version here is for readers who don't know Chinese and for those who's computer cannot show Chinese)

It was Oct 2008....

I'm leaving for a new home...

But I'm back after a week because at my new home, someone has allergy and skin becomes itchy.
On the day I came back, my mom seems forgot me. She was unfriendly to me and keep away from me.

You understand how sad I am?

Miracle did happened to me! After a few days, mom accepted me and feed me again!

I play happily with my sister...

We fight as play...

We "pack" together...

We sleep together...

One day, I must leave, because I was not the one chosen to stay.
Days before X'mas, I was taken to Ronald and Jenny's home. They have 2 lovely girls. They love me very much and I have my new happy life with them.
Life as cat is like this.
We were born, fed and looked after by mom.
We grow up, we leave our mom, brothers and sisters, and won't recognise each other very soon.
Sounds very cruel and sad. But that's our natural cat world!
Don't cry...
